Important Information About Our Offers

To help you plan your coastal vacation stress-free, we have summarized the essential framework conditions and definitions here. Please read these points carefully before booking.

What do we mean by a "guided mudflat hike"?

A guided mudflat hike is an organized tour with a certified national park guide. The route, duration, and exact meeting points are determined individually based on tides and weather conditions. Participation is always at your own risk; sturdy footwear and weatherproof clothing are required. The maximum group size is 15 people to protect nature.

How do we define "sustainable accommodation"?

Accommodations classified as sustainable on our platform meet at least three of the following criteria: use of renewable energy, sourcing of regional organic food, avoidance of single-use plastic, active waste separation, and compensation of unavoidable CO₂ emissions. The list of verified establishments is updated annually. There is no entitlement to a specific certification.

Which routes are considered "kayak-friendly"?

A kayak route is designated as "kayak-friendly" on our platform if it leads predominantly through flat, low-current waters (bays, canals, sheltered coves) and contains no technically demanding sections such as open sea or strong currents. The specified difficulty levels are based on the experience of local paddling schools and may vary depending on water levels and wind. Personal safety equipment (life jacket, signal whistle) is always mandatory.

Do the prices apply for all seasons?

No, the prices for tours and accommodations listed on the website generally refer to the main season (May to September). Different conditions often apply for the off-season (October to April). Please refer to the detailed pages of the respective offers for exact seasonal prices or contact us directly. All prices are in euros including statutory VAT.

What exactly does "free cancellation" mean?

The "free cancellation" option applies exclusively to bookings canceled in writing (by email to info@aucoastalline.com) at least 14 days before the planned arrival date. For later cancellations or non-arrival, the full cancellation fees of the respective provider apply. Exceptions are force majeure or verifiable official travel bans.
